At Milestone Veterinary Centre Limited we understand the importance of looking after the Personal Information that you provide and this Privacy Notice sets out what Information we collect, why we need to collect it, how we will use it and how long we will store it for.

What information do we collect and why?
To become a client of ours we require basic contact details (name, address, mobile/landline telephone numbers and email address) and if applicable payment information. We also hold details on your pets and their clinical history. These details are collected either in person when visiting the practice, by telephone or online.
This data will be used for legitimate purposes to send you invoices, statements, vaccination and appointment reminders, preventative treatments e.g. flea and wormer reminders etc. These are communicated to you by SMS, email or by post. Bank account details will be required when joining your pet on our Loyalty scheme or when arranging to pay off any outstanding debt.
At times your details will be shared securely with your insurance company when submitting claims on your behalf and also when sending blood and tissue samples to external laboratories. Upon your request we will share your information with other 1st opinion veterinary practices or referral centres. Where necessary personal details will be shared with our debt collection company if your account has been outstanding over a prolonged period of time.
When microchipping your pet we are required to register your contact details with the third party pet database company ‘PETtrac’ for reuniting lost and found animals.
Client data held by Milestone Veterinary centre Limited will not be sold to any third party companies.
All of the above personal data is stored securely either within our practice management system ‘Robovet’ or in a secure place and used in the legitimate interests of your animals’ health and wellbeing at all times.
