Pet insurance is an important factor to consider when adopting a new cat or dog. Monthly costs can vary considerably depending on the level of cover you can afford. We strongly recommend the principle of pet insurance to help financially support your pet during accidents or illnesses. Lifetime cover is recommended in case of long term illnesses. Without this cover, your pet may only be covered for the first year of treatment. Your Insurance contract is strictly between you and your insurer and would strongly advise you to refer to your policy terms and conditions in order to confirm your policy restrictions regarding certain health conditions and claim excesses. |
How to make a In-direct claimIn general, we would ask you to settle your outstanding account on collection of your pet following a procedure or after each appointment. We will then require a completed signed insurance claim form from you. Our Insurance Administrator will aim to process the claim within 14 working days. Your Insurance company will then make payment to you less any policy excess amount and uncovered items. If your pet has an on going condition you should pay for your medication as you go along then periodically claim back the total. You will need to submit a signed claim form each time you do this. We do not charge for this type of claim. |
How to make a direct claim.... |
We will only agree to collect payment directly from your insurer in exceptional circumstances and following prior agreement by one of our Directors. This is on the understanding that you first settle any amounts relating to the policy excesses or exclusions. Please understand that you remain liable for any part, or all, of the claim if your insurer declines the payment for any reason. For this service we charge an administration fee of £14.20 per condition per year. |
